"When Charlie Parker was playing, Cab Calloway said it was the worst stuff he'd ever heard in his life," Hunter notes. "And when Ornette Coleman came out, Roy Eldridge said, `He's faking it. I can't hear a goddamn thing he's playing. It's awful.' So at the end of the day, everyone has their own opinion, and it really doesn't matter. That's why I'm just going to play what feels right to me."
