Suicide Solution

Such professionalism is reflected in Lukacinsky's ultra-polite references to No Doubt, the critically reviled pop-ska act that the Suicide Machines are currently supporting. "I would never dis that band," he insists. "I'll tell you something about No Doubt--I'm really happy for them. I mean, they've been around for a long time, and they got screwed by their record company. They have definitely paid their dues.

"I'm really exicted about opening up for them," Lukacinsky goes on. "That whole arena-rock scene we really know nothing about, so it's going to be interesting to play to a crowd that might not ordinarily have had a chance to hear us." He jokes, "I think we'll open our set up with 'Sunday, Bloody Sunday.'"

Dr. Kevorkian would approve.

No Doubt, with Weezer and the Suicide Machines. 7 p.m. Friday, June 6, Red Rocks, $20, 830-2525 or 1-800-444-
