A:Hands down, the best crab legs I’ve found in town are at Hemingway’s Key West Grille (1052 South Gaylord Street, 303-722-7456), a nautically themed eatery with a good-natured, noisy atmosphere and Alaskan king crab legs that are juicy, succulent, sweet and, most important, always fresh. On most days, a pound and a half of the legs carries the hefty, but not unwarranted, price tag of $31.95. But on Sundays, Hemingway’s features a $29.95 all-you-can-eat crab-leg deal that also includes thick-cut fries and bread.

Another good choice is Del Mar Crab House (1453 Larimer Street, 303-825-4747). A half pound of Alaskan king crab legs (with potato and a vegetable or salad) runs $23, a pound $36. Or treat your girlfriend to a birthday dinner at your place; Del Mar’s retail market sells the legs for $19 per pound.
