A: You have a better chance of finding a Boulder restaurant that allows smoking than you do of discovering a cool, all-night diner. The Boulder Diner of the early '80s is now a distant memory, and the lack of cheap, casual, 24-hour eats is a common complaint of Boulder residents. Slightly closer than McCoys (4855 Federal Boulevard, 303-433-9511) is the last Great Scott's Eatery (1551 North Cortez Street, Westminster, 303-428-3558), which has closed its other locations but still serves killer chicken-fried steak 24-7 at this one.
