Sushi Den, filled with beautiful, impeccably dressed people eating perfectly arranged sashimi and unagi rolls, is as popular as ever -- which means the wait for a table can be brutal. If you're starving, that sucks. But if you're thirsty for both killer drinks and company, nursing Saketinis and popping edamame in the back bar for an hour or two isn't bad. And the delicious Saketini ($7.50) is very good: Ozeki sake, Chambord and a hint of pineapple juice in a chilled martini glass, garnished with a lemon twist. Sake is renowned for its strength -- the alcohol content usually runs between 15 and 17 percent, compared with 4 to 6 percent for beer -- so if you've had more than two Saketinis, don't stand up too quickly when your pager lights up to signal that your table is finally ready. And don't worry about having to finagle with those damn chopsticks; the chefs at this Denver institution swear that sushi is actually finger food. By all means, have another drink!
