The silver screen shines every summer during the Chautauqua Silent Film Series, a brave attempt to revive the magic of early film by presenting pre-talkie screen entertainment with live musical accompaniment each week at the Chautauqua Auditorium, 900 Baseline Road, Boulder. Tonight at 7:30 p.m., Buster Keaton, that master of wordless humor, stars in one of his classics, the stunt-filled Steamboat Bill Jr. , as well as a recently rediscovered short, The Cook; music will be done up right by the well-practiced Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra. Admission ranges from $5 to $7; call 303-440-7666.
