This Week's Day-by-Day Picks

Tuesday, November 25Could that be snow in the high country? Winter Park is letting everyone know it's open and ready for schussing by hosting one of the first ski events of the season. The two-day Chevy Truck NorAm Super Series Women's Slalom Event, this year's NorAm women's circuit kickoff, finishes up today at the resort on U.S. Highway 40, at the base of Berthoud Pass, offering an opportunity to watch the nation's top skiers in action. For competition information, call 1-970-726-1590; for snow conditions, call 303-572-SNOW or log on to www.winterparkresort.com.

If you haven't made whoopee yet, here's your last call: The Traveling Susans sketch comedy group, none of whose members are actually named Susan, will present a pre-Thanksgiving encore of its current show, Divided by Whoopee, a goofy evening that's rumored to include "Lion King Puppets" and references to the "Agnostic Church." After that, it's curtains. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. at Jazz @ Jack's, 1553 Platte Street; to reserve tickets, $12, call 303-906-4759.
