Roni Size

Some urban music legends claim Roni Size served as the best man when drum and bass were married; others say he performed the ceremony. Either way, the Bristol native knows the couple well, launching the experimental Full Cycle label in 1993 with pal and collaborator Krust. Over a decade later, Size keeps the hits coming from all sides via solo joints like "It's Jazzy," as part of the dream teams Reprazent and Breakbeat Era, or as a co-conspirator with myriad artists from Art of Noise to Janet Jackson. Bringing his West Indies influence, a bit of funk, hip-hop and a whole lot of soul to every mix, Size sizzles behind the board. His natural passion for music speaks through each project; jungle's ambassador to unfamiliar audiences is ever so persuasive, converting the masses through award-winning recordings as well as live performances. Touring the colonies in support of his latest disc, Return to V, the producer turned paladin comes to the Church this Friday, February 27, with protegés MC Sweet Pea and MC Risky in tow. One Size fits all.
