Love often blossoms in the spring, and suddenly there's a lot to love in Cherry Creek, where everyone's heading North. This new restaurant was brought to us by Sam Fox, who owns a number of spots around the country, including Bloom in FlatIron Crossing. Although North's decor is streamlined, the space doesn't feel cold; there are leather couches at the large dining tables, inviting seats in the lounge, and a big, wonderful bar. And that bar is just the place to try North's version of a Lemon Drop: the Lemon Norte ($8). A florid combination of Caravella Limoncello and Frís Vodka in a sugar-rimmed glass, this cocktail will help any conversation flower. If you prefer something bubbly, try the Frizzantes ($8), a flute of Prosecco sparkling wine with fresh-fruit purée (white peach, berry, passion fruit and pear are among the options). North will soon install an al fresco dining area along Second Avenue and an outdoor cocktail lounge on Clayton, which should make this prime territory for pretty people wanting to get plucked this summer.
