Kill Memory Crash has spent the majority of the past ten years operating in relative obscurity, playing underground raves and clubs in Chicago and Detroit. Its style has developed from a pretty typical dance sound into a dark hybrid of Detroit techno, IDM and heavy industrial music reminiscent of Nitzer Ebb. KMC hooked up with the Ghostly International label in 2002 and released a series of EPs that have established the duo, known only as Alex and Adam, as one of the more exciting electronic acts to watch at the moment. The pair's debut full-length, American Automatic, released in May, further synthesizes the techno and industrial hybrid, with heavy beats that assault the senses rather than seduce them. Kill Memory Crash make its Denver debut at Bender's Tavern on Friday, June 10.
