Everyone is a native except Danny; he’s from Milwaukee. He loves cheese.
What’s in a name?
A name needs to be memorable in order for it to be effective. It’s what represents you as a band, and our name basically sums up our band: half sweet, half evil. Not to mention Electric Summer put out a CD that helped us out.
When did you form/start performing?
Love Me Destroyer has been a band since 2003. Like every band, there have been a few lineup changes, and the current lineup has been together for only a few months. Scooter and Taylor are old hat now.
Releases/discography:
Black Heart Affair (2003); the new CD will be out in early 2006.
Who or what do you think you sound like?
If Metallica and Green Day formed a super group, they would be a Love Me Destroyer cover band.
What are some of your noteworthy recent feats?
Besides getting eighth place in the punk-rock bowling tournament? Through our record label, Suburban Home, we have excellent distribution that allows our CD to be sold in most record stores all over the U.S.; it was also released in Japan about a year ago. Also, like most bands, we have many successful tours. However, no one’s tours are as memorable and have as many stories as ours. Trust us.
What albums have had the biggest impact on you?
Scooter: If You Want Blood (AC/DC); Hell Bent for Leather (Judas Priest); Taylor: Beautiful Creatures (Beautiful Creatures); Americana (Offspring); Ryan: In Casino Out (At the Drive-In); Danny: Trashed (Lagwagon). However, we all agree, it doesn’t get much better than Appetite for Destruction.
What artists have had the biggest impact on you?
Scooter: Bruce Springsteen and Hunter S. Thompson; Taylor: Silver, Brice, Leo and Vita from Rubber Planet, Todd from Ion and Scott Weiland; Ryan: Dimebag Darrell; Danny: Danny Carey and Keith Moon.

Scooter: manager at 15th St. Tavern and superstar DJ Trainwreck; Taylor: manager at Noodles & Company; Ryan: blue-collar electrician!; Danny: blue-collar wood layer!
