I don’t think that there is a big misconception about our band. I think you know what you’re getting when you see us.

I (C. Vincent Plummer) would say Elliot Smith, but I think the other co-captain (Jason Duffy) would say Jack Johnson.

Afrobeat, salsa, samba and funk-influenced improvisational dance music.

What are some of your noteworthy recent feats?

To play a festival this past May, I flew from Costa Rica to Phoenix to Denver to Charlotte, then drove to Ashville, NC, and back again to Boulder -- all in 32 hours.

What albums have had the biggest impact on you?

Peace Beyond Passion (M'shell N'Degeocello); Tuku Music (Oliver M'tukutsi).

What artists have had the biggest impact on you?

Miles Davis and Charles Mingus.
