The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art has a visionary new batch of friends in The Collection, a support organization dedicated to bringing up-and-coming artists to BMoCA audiences on a monthly basis. The group's first event of the year kicks off tonight at 6 p.m. with the sounds of local electronica sensation Pictureplane — plus the guitar, theremin and sampling duo Yamahama — filling the museum's galleries, 1750 13th Street in Boulder. Admission is $5 at the door, but bring extra for the cash bar. For information, to join The Collection or to submit an artist proposal, call 303-443-2122 or visit www.bmoca.org/thecollection.
