Robbie Rivera

Vinyl

From his humble beginnings as a teenager spinning at weddings and school dances to traveling the globe performing at the biggest clubs to doing remix work for everyone from Sinéad O'Connor to Kylie Minogue, Miami's Robbie Rivera has been involved with dance music for most of his life. His big break came when a tune he produced in 2000 called "Bang" went straight to number one on Billboard's U.K. charts. A super-catchy little house tune built around an infectious piano riff, the track was used to promote the Sydney Olympics. As a result, Rivera swiftly became a household name in the industry, and everyone from Madonna to Green Velvet wanted to work with him. His first artist album, 2004's Do You Want More?, generated several top-ten singles on the dance charts. Rivera (due at Vinyl on Saturday, March 18) continues to make house music vital through his remix work and through his own compositions, which he releases on his own label, Juicy.
