For what it's worth, about a week after the show, I got an e-mail from a friend who'd seen Kid in Vegas, and here's what she had to say: "Guess what -- sounded the same as when you saw them, so maybe it's his FUCKING OVERPRICED OVERPAID SOUND COMPANY."

On March 19, Dave Otero's Flatline Studios was robbed. The culprits made off with thousands of dollars of equipment and left Otero -- a locally based, nationally renowned metal producer -- and quite a few bands in the lurch, as their recordings were on the hard drives. Aside from wishing ill will on the assholes responsible (I'm confident there's a special place in hell for unscrupulous idiots like this), interested parties can lend a hand by attending a benefit for Otero at the Toad Tavern on Friday, May 26, featuring Forth Yeer Freshman, Suburban Hostage, Downtied, Silencer and Lotus Black.
