The transport will be light — but the drinks will not — when Tom "Dr. Colorado" Noel leads this evening's Light Rail Pub Crawl. Conversation and liquor start flowing at 5 p.m. at the Buckhorn Exchange (park by the restaurant at 1000 Osage Street), and then crawlers will climb onto the light rail for a quick trip to the former Punch Bowl (now the British Bulldog) on Stout Street, with its historic booth art, and the Triangle, Denver's oldest gay bar. The route continues to the end of the line in Five Points, then reverses course for a scenic ride to Littleton and dinner at Jose's, 2420 West Main Street, which just celebrated its fortieth birthday and, Noel promises, has a cool mural "with eyes that follow you as you walk around the room." Assuming you can still walk, of course. Tickets are $30 for Colorado Historical Society members, $40 for non-members, and include an RTD pass and the first drink at each pub — but dinner is on you. To reserve your spot, call 303-866-4641. All aboard!
