I have never won a game of bingo. My problem is this: I can't play more than one bingo card at once, so I'm never the first to place my dabbers on five consecutive squares.
Well, all those bingo pros out there had better watch their backs, because I've discovered Theatre Group Bingo, and I don't need mad bingo skills to be a successful player instead, I can use one of Bingo City's fancy computers. For $31, the machine manages six cards; for a little extra cash, it can also include "double action," where each card contains more than one number per square, plus squares for the ongoing progressive game. In laymen's terms, that means all I have to do is punch in the numbers and let the computer do the rest. Even better, all Theatre Group Bingo proceeds benefit Theatre on Broadway. For the old-school among you, paper bingo cards are just $6 apiece.
Theatre Group Bingo runs SAturday and Sunday nights from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Bingo City is at 3820 South Federal Boulevard in Sheridan; call 303-789-4034 for information.
