Step Up

About 400 expert tango dancers will dance the day into night this evening as the sun sets on the Cheesman Park pavilion. And while tango may not be as popular in Denver as its cousin, salsa, it's worth getting a peek at the classy steps as the seventh annual Labor Day Milonguero Festival comes to a close tomorrow. The park is "known around the world for being one of the most beautiful places to dance tango," says Roberta Farley, a co-founding member of Tango Colorado and a volunteer at the free Cheesman Park Milonga, which runs from 6 to 10 p.m. "It's one of the most popular tango events in the United States."

Pack up a picnic and come check out the pros.
