An Affair to Remember

The annual Westword Menu Affair is always a party. And I don't say that lightly: The food is free, the booze flows freely, and at least one inappropriate pass is always made. The sixth edition, happening tonight, promises to be no different, with more than thirty local restaurants — including Limon, Benny Blanco's, Goosetown Tavern and Wazee Supper Club — participating, and Bud, Finlandia, Chambord and Iron Mountain Winery sponsoring the liquor. There's also a Steel Chef competition, in which Troy Guard of nine75 will square off against Frank Bonanno from Mizuna/Luca d'Italia, plus live jazz hosted by KUVO. The taste sensation runs from 7 to 10 p.m., but foodies know to arrive early for the best culinary selections. So head over to Invesco Field (free parking in lots A and B), and enter through Gate 7. Tickets are $25 in advance at www.westword.com or $35 at the door, and all proceeds benefit Food Bank of the Rockies.
