The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers. Even that quote from Shakespeare wasn't enough to drown out the long-winded lawyers (is that redundant?) sitting near me at the bar at Wyman's No. 5, rehashing the case they had tried and won that day. After much self-congratulation, one attorney grabbed his coat and, on the way out the door, said this: "Brevity is the soul of wit." Nothing funny there! Fortunately, most Wyman's patrons are down-to-earth, low-key, hangin'-at-the-local-pub types who love how the dark wood and stained-glass windows make it always feel like cocktail hour, even on the sunniest days. But then, owner Mark Berzins knows how to create proper bar ambience; when he opened Wyman's a couple of years ago, it was No. 5 in his chain of neighborhood watering holes -- which then included the Elm, the Irish Hound, Three Dogs Tavern and the Spot Bar and Grill, and has since added Don's Club Tavern, Salty Rita's and the Spot in Golden. Badly needing a drink to drive out the legal drivel, I asked the bartender for a suggestion. The Blueberry Arnold Palmer ($5), made with Stoli Blueberi vodka, lemonade and iced tea, was as likable as she was. But the jury's still out on the barristers sharing the bar.
