Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Let's see if we understand you correctly: The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls have only two home bouts left in their season, and you haven't attended even once this year to show support for your official Women's Flat Track Derby Association team?!

Well, slacker, you're in luck, because tonight's Spook-N-Roll is going to be one of those events that you'll tell your grandkids about. The Rollergirls' home teams — the Red Ridin' Hoods and the Sugar Kill Gang — will not only face off in a battle for skate supremacy, but some of the ladies will do it in costume. At least partially.

"We can do what we like, but we do have to kind of maintain our uniform somewhat, because we are going to be playing a game," explains Red Ridin' Hood member She Who Cannot Be Named (aka Jen Frale). "We still have to have our number visible."

There will also be a costume contest for spectators, raffle giveaways and much more. The halftime show will feature belly-dancing troupe Sultry Emberz, and the after-party — or Disintegration Carnival Halloween Bash — includes fortune tellers, cotton candy, free drinks for the ladies till 10 p.m., and $2 draft and well drinks all night long. Roll on, sisters.

The bout takes place at Bladium Sports Club, 2400 Central Park Boulevard, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.; admission, which benefits Family Tree, is $13 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids twelve and under get in for free. The after-party, at Club 2101, 2101 Champa Street, starts at 9, and the cover is $7. For info and tickets, visit www.rockymountainrollergirls.com.
Sat., Oct. 28, 7 p.m.
