Holiday Plays

The DCTC offers theater fit for the season.

If you like to do your holiday shopping in July, then you'll be stoked to pre-game your winter theater, too. Beat out the slackers tonight at the Denver Performing Arts Complex for special engagements of A Christmas Carol and Season's Greetings. Even sans Muppets, the musical adaptation of the classic Dickens tale is pure bah-humbuggin' family fun, filled with the usual assortment of puss-faced Scrooge scowls and Tiny Tim one-liners. Season's Greetings, which opened last week, is a hip comedic look at everything that will inevitably go wrong on Christmas Eve — from drunk relatives to missing presents. And it has puppets!

Season's Greetings runs through December 23, and Christmas Carol ends a day later. Tickets for either performance may be purchased at www.denvercenter.org or by calling 303-893-4100.
