Forget the champagne fountains: Tonight the ten-gallon fish tank will be swimming with mojitos for MATTER's 8th Annual Printsale and Party. But the drinks aren't the only reason the evening is "a guaranteed good time," says MATTER's Rick Griffith. DJ Idiom will entertain the crowd while Griffith shows off the latest renovations to the design studio along with new work from a series of prints and canvases titled "12 Things That Have Gone Seriously, Partially, Mostly, Almost Completely, Terribly, Most Unfortunately Wrong." The staff will also be selling limited-edition gift certificates — starting at $100, and good for anything at MATTER, including cards and stationery — that get the recipient a private shopping appointment at the studio, "and we all just coddle them," notes Griffith. Only forty certificates will be sold, he says, since "we can't afford to entertain more people for the better part of next year." But first, they'll entertain all comers at tonight's free party, which starts at 6 p.m. at the studio at 2132 Market Street. For more information, go to www.morematter.com.
