Shining Stars
Surviving the first year as a nonprofit is reason to celebrate — especially when in that year, an organization serves 75 families with critically ill children. To mark the occasion, the Boulder-based There With Care will host All the World Is a Stage tonight at the Boulder Theater, 2032 14th Street — and it's loading that stage with some real star power. Performers include Jesse Martin (Law & Order), Rosario Dawson (Rent, Clerks II) and comedian Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants!
"The funds we raise will help us create support for the families we serve by lightening the stress and demands of everyday life," says Paula DuPre Pesman, executive director of There With Care. "The help we provide gives parents the time they need to help their children better cope with life-threatening illnesses." General-admission tickets to the benefit are $25 each, with reserved seats — which include a cast party after the show — going for $100.
