Every Song Sung

America clearly has talent. But if shows such as American Idol have taught us anything, it's that Americans aren't always clear on whether they actually have it or not. For this reason, talent shows are cursed to forever feature the clueless — if not the totally talentless and the downright insane. But talent competitions aren't always dreadful, especially when they're for a good cause.

Now in its second month, the "Until Every Song Is Sung And Every Battle Won" second-Wednesday talent shows presented by the Rocky Mountain United Service Organizations (RMUSO) fall under just such a special provision. Twelve performers sign up on a first-come basis, and judges are chosen at random from the audience. The $8 admission price goes to support the many generous services the RMUSO provides to active and retired military personnel and their family.

General seating and signup for performers both begin at 7 p.m. at the Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street; showtime is at 8. Get more information at www.rmuso.org or by calling 303-342-6876.
Second Wednesday of every month, 8 p.m. Starts: Jan. 10. Continues through Nov. 14, 2007
