It's Spa Week — and just in time!
Bikini-and-shorts season is just around the corner, and my pale, blah skin doesn't want anything to do with that until a good massage, facial and scrub have been had. Normally that would set me back at least $300, but with national Spa Week starting today, I can get a little primping for just $50 per service. Locally, Revive Spa (500 East 19th Avenue, 303-284-2550), Bella Fiore Day Spa (324 Clayton Street, 303-355-3365), the St. Julien Hotel & Spa (900 Walnut Street in Boulder, 720-406-9696), the Purple Flower (1115 Broadway, 303-300-5244) and Vitahl Medical Rejuvenation Spa (251 Steele Street, 303-388-7380) are all participating. "Spa Week is taking a leadership position in the campaign to change the unhealthy course the country is navigating," says Lindsey Gockenbach, spokeswoman for the primping extravaganza.
But if that healthy spa lifestyle sounds too, well, healthy, try this encouragement to strip down and de-stress: Revive is offering a sixty-minute chocolate body scrub as one of its three specials. How decadent!
