More About
Olympic snowboard medalist Chris Klug had always lived life on the edge. He could conquer any mountain but when he learned he needed a liver transplant, he faced a real uphill battle to get back into fighting form for the Snowboard World Cup Tour ("The Bounce-Back Kid," March 8 and 15, 2001). With the help of a great medical team and a supportive family, Klug emerged on top. Tonight at the Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place, experience Klug's wild ride during Ride of Your Life, the Colorado premiere of a documentary that follows not just Klug, but two others waiting for organ transplants. Doors open at 6 p.m., the movie screens at 7, and Opie Gone Bad takes the stage for a show starting at 8:30. Tickets to the evening are $24, which benefits the American Transplant Foundation; you'll also have a chance at winning door prizes, and at saving someone like Klug who will be on hand when you register as an organ and tissue donor. For more information on the evening, call 720-883-3023.
