"I thought to myself, 'What do ladies like to do?' They like to get free stuff and drink wine," says organizer Susan Burgstiner. "Ergo, it was born, just like that." And the baby was a bruiser: "Last year we got creamed," she adds, noting that participation completely surpassed all estimates.
This year the crowd is limited to 500, and tickets cost just $5, which earns shoppers free goodies and coupon books from more than forty merchants. And sure, men are welcome to attend, but as Burgstiner points out, "It's kind of like going to a Hugh Jackman film: They just go because their women want to see it."
Get L.O.S.T. from 4 to 8 p.m. on and around Main Street, between Santa Fe Drive and Bemis Street; wristbands will be available at all participating stores or at an HDLM booth at Main and Sycamore streets. For details, log on to www.downtownlittleton.com/sampletour.htm.
