Togetherness

In the past, Walk for Israel, sponsored by the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, and Celebrate Family!, a Shalom Family staple, took place within a week of each other. This time around, representatives of the two organizations are combining forces to put on a single affair, today's Denver Jewish Festival, which will feature the traditional walk plus live bands, an artisan tent, food vendors and lots of kid-related fun. "We're offering activities and entertainment to a larger age range," says Stacy Rivera, AJF director of marketing. "So I think we're reaching out to more people than we might have been able to separately."

The Walk for Israel, which requires a $1 registration fee, begins at 9 a.m.; the festival starts an hour later at the Denver Academy of Torah, 6825 East Alameda Avenue. Admission is free; tickets for unlimited rides and games are $8 per individual or $36 maximum per family. For more information, call 303-316-6317 or visit www.jewishcolorado.org/djf.
Sun., May 6, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
