This Just In...

The latest nightlife news.

New Belgium Brewing company, those fine folks up in Fort Collins who make Fat Tire Amber Ale and other Belgian-inspired beers, have opened a new hub -- er, make that pub -- in Concourse B at DIA. The spot, dubbed the New Belgium Hub, sports art by local artists Todd Kundla and Jesse Schier, as well as bar stools created from recycled material (natch) in keeping with company's green theme. Now travelers from around the globe can get a taste of Colorado.

Closer to home, DJ Chris Irvin and his wingmen in the ((move*mental)) crew will be taking flight this Saturday night at Aqua (925 Lincoln Street) with a new night called the Deep End, featuring Smyl;e, Schmid-E, Sante and Gabriel Tafoya, who will all rotate monthly. Irvin, Schmid-E, Jedi Scott and Tafoya have also just kicked off Electrofriedays at Club Boca (1521 Marion Street), where they'll spin electro house and tech '80s every Friday. Also at Boca every other Sunday, it's Spundays with DJs Jay C, Danny G, Boris and Kristopher Vega laying down dance tracks. Get your groove on.

Garageland:Looks like there's no shortage of would-be bar owners interested in acquiring the space formerly occupied by the Bannock Street Garage(1015 Bannock Street), which was a bar star in the Golden Triangle neighborhood when it first opened in 2004. After a few liquor-license violations -- including reportedly serving underagers -- owners Eddie Morrissey and Dennis Hoge voluntarily shut their doors, which meant the space could retain its valuable liquor license.
