Luckily, the spectators at Crankworx Colorado Mountain Bike Competition won't have to watch my stunts.
Today through Saturday, mountain-bike competitors including some of the world's best freeriders will face off on Winter Park's fifty-plus miles of trails at the first-ever south-of-the-Canadian-border Crankworx. Slopestyle, big air, downhill and cross-country contests are all on the agenda. "Crankworx Colorado is going to produce mind-blowing feats of athleticism," says Winter Park's Darcy Morse.
Also on tap: an outdoor expo and plenty of entertainment and après partying. The event is free and open to the public, with lodging and camping available on the mountain. Check out www.crankworxcolorado.com for more details.
