Every year, Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital's birthday celebration gets a little bit bigger and a little bit better. "Last year was the first time we moved the event outside, brought in a band and had an agility course," remembers Harrison's Melannie Frantz. This year's Harrison Memorial's 17th Birthday Bark-B-Que features the same band — bluegrass strummers the Zephyrs — plus beer from Flying Dog Brewery, delicious barbeque and tours of the hospital, particularly the newly remodeled second story.

"We encourage people to bring their kids and their dogs," notes Frantz. "Everybody eats some good food, drinks some good beer and listens to some good music." Sounds like a good time! Admission is $35 for adults, $10 for ages thirteen through twenty, and kids twelve and under are free; the ticket price includes all the food, drink and entertainment you can handle. Call 303-318-0447, extension 227, to make your reservations, and visit www.hmah.org for information.
