Slippery Slope

"We got about a hundred feet by eight feet of painters' tarp," explains Dave Momper, "and we made an adult-sized Slip 'n Slide. We stake it down at one end, and we get sprinkler heads arranged so the water's landing on the slide. The secret is that you've gotta get some baby soap or baby oil, so it doesn't sting your eyes but it’s still slippery. We're going to have at least one — hopefully two — of those, going down the hill."

Sound like fun? Then head over to Cuernavaca Park, 2000 Little Raven Street, today from 1 to 5 p.m. for Slide for a Cure. A $20 requested donation benefits the National Breast Cancer Foundation — and let's be honest: Could anything else you would do for a cure possibly beat this idea?

Other activities include volleyball and bocce; Qdoba will provide burritos, and beer will be available. Call Momper at 720-289-2619 for more information.
Sat., Aug. 25, 1-5 p.m.
