Princess Cheri Bottoms, aka Jason Nichols, co-founded and headlined last year's Absolute! Fabulous! Gorgeous! show in support of the Boulder County AIDS Project because the spread of HIV/ AIDS is an issue that hits close to home: The Princess lost a long-term partner to the disease. This year's showstopping headliner, Angel de Luna (Miguel Goldstein), believes that HIV/ AIDS "is a real issue of relevance, and entertainment is a great way to bring prevention messages to our community."
What kind of entertainment? How about a full-on drag show, along with men stalking the catwalk wearing fashion from Starr's Clothing Company, all in the name of promoting HIV/ AIDS awareness, prevention and testing? It all goes down tonight at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 show; tickets are $20 for reserved seating, $15 for general admission. Attendees must be eighteen or older. Visit www.thedairy.org or call 303-444-7328 for tickets.
Sat., Sept. 1, 6:30-10 p.m.
