Wild Arts

On the last Friday of each month, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art has been throwing open its doors for NightLite, a bash featuring art in just about every manifestation possible. "We offer different live performance art, music, entertainment, libations, food from local restaurants," explains Keleigh Asbury, director of special events. "It's an opportunity to bring in a young, emerging demographic, and for outside people to come into Boulder and see how great and fun it is." Tonight from 8 to 11 p.m., BMoCA offers one of the last opportunities visitors will have to view current exhibitions. While taking in the art, attendees can also belly up to the cash bar, nibble on free munchies from the Attic and check out The Word, a multimedia component featuring poetry organization podslam.org, KGNU's MC Rico from the Eclipse hip-hop show, DJs, breakdancers, and artists painting live interpretations of the spoken word. Admission is free for museum members and $5 for non-members. For more information, visit www.bmoca.org or call 303-443-2122.
Last Friday of every month, 8-11 p.m. Starts: June 29. Continues through Aug. 31
