Following Floyd

Robert Greer offers another CJ Floyd tale.

By Cory Casciato

Published on October 18, 2007

An accident in I-70's Eisenhower Tunnel uncovers a forty-year-old conspiracy at the heart of American history in the first chapters of The Mongoose Deception, the latest CJ Floyd mystery. Floyd is up against the biggest mystery of his life, and perhaps the biggest of all time: Who really killed JFK? If anyone is up to tackling the granddaddy of all conspiracy theories, it's Floyd, a dogged investigator with years of experience uncovering the truth in pursuit of all manner of crooks, con men and killers.

The series hero is a bail bondsman and sometime dealer of antiques and collectibles who lives and operates in Denver. The tightly plotted and fast-paced mysteries feature familiar Denver landmarks and history throughout, imbuing the books with an aura of verité for local readers.

Author Robert Greer will be at Who Else! Books today in the Denver Book Mall, 32 Broadway, at 3 p.m. to read from and sign The Mongoose Deception. Call 303-733-3808 for details.
