Tour of Words
Anaïs Nin once said, "I will not just be a tourist in the world of images." According to Cynthia Morris, that quote "really sums up what I'm hoping to bring to people, to give them a chance to write in the moment." That's why Morris has organized the Writer's Tour of Denver, an opportunity for writers to visit inspirational locations in the city and discover where they want to go with their work.
"People like the opportunity to go someplace with a different lens on," explains Morris, "so my whole purpose with this isn't to go somewhere and feed people a lot of facts and information about the place, but show them how to use writing in the moment to experience what they're seeing and feeling in a deeper way." The tour starts at Denver’s Civic Center Park today at 10 a.m. and costs $60; included in the price is lunch, coaching, writing instruction, tea and the tour. Call Morris at 303-442-0664 to sign up.
