Deserting his dreams, Daniel Gold packed up his family and left the Big Apple to forge ahead to a life of new frontiers in...Arvada, Colorado.

This is Suburban, a Mile High-produced feature-length film that follows Gold as he measures his merit and his manhood — literally — to a 7.5.

And although the film is written by, directed by and stars Marty Lindsey, a native screenwriter who recently returned at age 35 to crash at his parents' house in Arvada, he swears the story is not autobiographical. "There are a few bits and pieces of me," Lindsey says, no innuendo intended. "But this story puts a mirror up to 90 percent of the human population, and the film is our reflection."

Before Suburban is exposed to the film-festival circuit, there will be two nights of free local screenings to get the Rocky Mountain reaction. "I like the film folks here because they are solid, hardworking people," Lindsey says. "Ultimately, I guess I just like small ponds."

Apparently, size does matter.
