My freshman year at Colorado College was peppered with disappointing social exchanges. I didn't like keggers quite as much as I'd imagined, and yoga class turned out to be a bad way to meet boys. So when my roommate invited me to the hockey match against the University of Denver — the biggest game of the year — I practically leapt into my long underwear. Everyone and his writing tutor would be there to see our champs battle their longtime rivals. The night flew by in a blur of overpriced stadium beer and glittery Delta Gamma sisters. I can't recall who won, but I do remember watching my roommate drunkenly heckle DU fans and thinking, "Yes. This is college."

Tonight, the CC Tigers and DU Pioneers face off once again, this time on my enemy's turf. The game starts at 7:07 p.m. at Magness Arena in the Ritchie Center, 2201 East Asbury Avenue. Tickets are $23 to $30 for adults, $15 to $23 for chidren ages three to twelve and seniors 65 and over, and $10 for DU students. Information and tix are available at 303-871-7460 or www.denverpioneers.com.
