Naughty, Not Nice

Defy Santa and sing along with Babushka's XXXmas Carols.

By Cory Casciato

Published on December 13, 2007

Take a break from the onslaught of sickly sweet and sentimental Christmas music with Babushka's Naughty XXXmas Carols tonight at Cricket on the Hill, 1209 East 13th Avenue. Sing along with twisted tunes such as "Hark, Satanic Santas Sing" and "Oh, Drive All Ye Drunkards" while Babushka's partner in crime, Little Fyodor, accompanies on guitar. "We're going to play real music," Babushka promises. "Real, old music, and we're going to spice it up a bit. We're going to get real naughty with it." Following Babushka's star turn will be a set from her band, Little Fyodor and Babushka, as well as sets from Lamar Murphy and the Butcher of Music. The caroling begins promptly at 9 p.m; admission is $5. Visit www.myspace.com/littlefyodorbabushka for more information.
