Ned and the Chocolate Factory

Keystone's chef creates one sweet work of art.

Chocolate fiends and those with sweet teeth, take note: Keystone chef Ned Archibald's Chocolate Village, which he (along with his helpers) installs every year in the lobby of Keystone Lodge, might look like a Wonka-esque wonderland filled with delicious delicacies — but seeing as how Archibald recycles the village each year, you probably don't want to reach out and take a bite.

More About

Still, the Village is a marvel with its chocolate mountain, white-chocolate tree (complete with hand-blown sugar ornaments), white-chocolate snowman, working gondola and even a full-blown chocolate fountain. And those are just the main events: Beneath the tree and upon the mountain are dozens of miniature chocolate masterpieces, from toy rocking horses to Nutcrackers. Every year, Archibald adds something new; this year, look for the tiny wind turbines and an ore cart filled with chocolate coated in 24-karat gold.

Stop by the lobby and check out Archibald's work through January 2; learn more at http://keystone.snow.com or 1-877-625-1556.
