Supernatural Stories

Vampires and werewolves have been fodder for fiction since long before Interview With the Vampire and An American Werewolf in London hit the big screen. So authors Lynda Hilburn and Carrie Vaughn will be in good company when they pair up this afternoon at the Denver Book Mall, 32 Broadway, to sign copies of their supernatural stories.

Hilburn's debut novel, The Vampire Shrink, is set in Denver and features psychologist Kismet Knight, who doesn't believe in the paranormal. But Knight is forced to rethink her beliefs when she's introduced to a gorgeous vampire named Devereaux. Before she knows it, Kismet is caught between two worlds.

Carrie Vaughn's book, Kitty and the Silver Bullet, is the fourth in her series of paperback novels featuring Denver talk-show host Kitty, who was forced to reveal her supernatural status in the first book, Kitty and the Midnight Hour. Kitty's life has settled down since those times; her radio show is doing well, and she finally has an understanding boyfriend. But when her mother becomes ill, Kitty must return to Denver — and the pack of abusive werewolves she escaped the year before.

Stop by the Book Mall at 3 p.m. to get your copies signed; the event is free. Call 303-733-3808 for information.
