Celebrate Bob Marley's life and music at What About Bob?

"Bob Marley is a staple in life, period," says Lillian Marsh, event coordinator for tonight's What About Bob? celebration. She has a point: The reggae master and activist — who would have been 63 now had he not passed away in 1981 at age 36 — is still influencing today's musical and cultural landscape. Exodus was named the greatest album of the twentieth century by Time magazine, and Will Smith's character in the blockbuster I Am Legend, Dr. Robert Neville, named Marley as a major influence in his philosophy of life.

The Old Curtis Street Bar, 2100 Curtis Street, will host the tribute jam, which features DJs Bush and Blood Preshah, catered Jamaican cuisine and Marley footage remixed live by dBom. Join the celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For details, visit www.myspace.com/lillil08.
