Denver players, beware: Greg Behrendt is coming to the Comedy Works, and he's ready to simultaneously burst your dating bubble and bust your gut. With a mane of frosted hair, a chain wallet and a penchant for man-gab like "bro" and "dude," Behrendt may seem more Mark McGrath than Dr. Phil, but this standup comic/self-styled relationship guru has some harsh advice for women who are questioning their men's mixed messages: He's Just Not That Into You. His frank female guide to relationships by the same name offers blunt chuckles of empowerment to the love-scorned. The follow-up book, It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken (Behrendt co-wrote the tome with his happily married wife) reads as a similarly foul-mouthed guide to the inevitable fallout experienced by serial daters. Not that this dude lacks relevant credentials in comedy or feminine insight; as a former consultant on the HBO series Sex and the City, Behrendt already has plenty of experience stuffed in his pocket.

Behrendt performs live at the Comedy Works, 1226 15th Street, tonight at 8 and 10 p.m. and tomorrow at 6:30, 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit SafeHouse Denver.
