Lads and Lasses

Get your drink on at the "Paddy Wagon" Pub Crawl.

With the hurling and Gaelic football seasons approaching, members of the Denver Gaels GAA Club think there's time for one last bash before the St. Patrick's Day Parade. And, laddie, it's going to be a good one. Today, starting at 3:30 p.m., the Gaels invite all comers to join their "Paddy Wagon" Pub Crawl. With more than 300 people expected, the crawl is scheduled to start at the Irish Rover, 54 South Broadway, and Scruffy Murphy's, 2030 Larimer Street, with open-bar buses heading to the Celtic Tavern/Delaney's and the Blake Street Tavern.

"The Gaels are excited to throw back many a pint with old friends, new friends and strangers on the 'Paddy Wagon' Pub Crawl before jumping into the season full-swing after the St. Paddy's Day Parade," says public-relations officer Tyler McNally. "We encourage anyone interested in getting to know the club before the season starts to come out for the great Irish craic!"

The $30 ticket price includes a "Paddy Wagon" T-shirt, food at each pub, Irish drinking songs on the buses and other entertainment. The day ends where it began, with a live band at Scruffy's and a DJ at the Rover. For more information, call 303-547-6926 or go to www.denvergaels.com/modules/wfchannel.
