Calling all otaku! Anime, manga and other Japanese pop-culture pursuits are the order of the weekend at Anime Wasabi, starting tonight and continuing through Sunday at the Holiday Inn DIA, 15500 East 40th Avenue. Besides rubbing elbows with other devotees of Gundam, Dragonball and the like, there's plenty to feed your addiction. Start in the dealers’ room to find the missing pieces of your yaoi collection, or check out the latest imported collectible toys. Meet that special otaku someone at one of three dances — including a vampire-themed late-night event — spread over tonight and tomorrow. Hear a performance by Japanese goth band the Royal Dead, or dress up as a favorite character and show off at the cosplay competition. Visit the artists' room, join in video-game tournaments or attend a panel with guests including the artists of ArtPlayMix.com and voice actor Kyle Hebert (of shows such as Dragonball Z and Naruto). A scavenger hunt, anime improv games, a charity auction and enough anime viewings to boil your eyes out of your head round out the filled-to-the-rafters program.

Single-day passes start at $15, or get all three days of fun for $40. For information, tickets and an up-to-date list of activities and panels, visit www.animewasabi.com.
