Cure by Donation

I’ve never had a massage. I’ve always thought of spa services as a luxury for the rich, which I am not. I’d feel too guilty spending that much money on something I couldn’t at least wear or digest. But Massage for the Cure gives me an excuse to splurge on pampering myself because the money is all going to a good cause: breast cancer research.

All fourteen Front Range-area Massage Envy clinics are offering free one-hour massages in exchange for donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to benefit programs in Colorado. “We would like to see $50 or more, but it’s really whatever people are comfortable donating,” says Larry Reiff, regional franchise developer for Massage Envy in the state. “It’s a terrific opportunity for people to give back to the community while getting a great massage at the same time.”

Last year, the event raised nearly $40,000 while giving 1,200 massages. Reservations are highly recommended, as the slots, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., fill up quickly. Make yours at your neighborhood Massage Envy or call 877-330-3689.
