Nia (formerly known as non-impact aerobics and neuromuscular integrative action) is a form of aerobic exercise incorporating three dance arts (Isadora Duncan, modern and jazz dance), three martial arts (aikido, tae kwon do and tai chi) and three healing arts (Alexander Technique, yoga and Feldenkrais). The women of Little Fish Movement Arts have taken Nia to a new level with their tribute to the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.

Celebrate with a special dance performance by the group, IllumeNia II: A Movement Journey Through Water, Earth, Air & Fire, featuring original music by Kendra Howard plus choreography by Howard and Sarah Becker. The thirty-woman dance troupe takes the stage tonight and tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students, and $12 for children under twelve. Visit www.thedairy.org or call 303-440-7826.
