Green-Ring Circus

This annual Copper Mountain fest has an eco-friendly twist.

This year’s 3-Ring Weekend at Copper Mountain will be a little different from those of previous years. The biggest change: It’s all green. “We’ve put a whole new eco-emphasis on the weekend,” notes Copper’s David Roth.

So on top of the free live music by mountain favorites Rusted Root, you’ll find a plethora of family-friendly, educational events celebrating nature. There’s the Primp My Ride parade, a cascade of kid-powered vehicles (think bikes, trikes and skateboards) that riders can decorate with reused and recycled crafts; a Recycled Rags dance party featuring boogiers in their thrift-store finest; a Conscious Carnival; a Solar Powered Bubble Tower Sculpture and more.

“We’re trying to make this a zero-waste event as well,” notes Roth (bring your own water bottles for the free water station). “We’d love to have everybody out here; it should be a really fun family event. Come one, come all!”

The 3-Ring Weekend runs today, tomorrow and Sunday at Copper Mountain; visit http://villageatcopper.com/3Ring or call 1-970-968-4INFO.
