Starting today at 10 a.m. and continuing through Sunday at Folsom Field, 29th Street and Colorado Avenue in Boulder, former and future Olympic sand volleyball players will showcase their slamming, spiking and serving dominance.

“It’s the highest level of beach volleyball that you can play in the United States,” says media contact Alison Shapiro. “All the Americans who will participate in Beijing will come from the AVP tour.” The event is made up of either 24 or 32 male and female two-player teams that compete in a double-elimination bracket. Specifics -- including the final roster -- are still in the works.
